Being born the son of a South African father and South Korean mother, J-Lie often recalls not fitting in with the crowd. However, after a life changing experience in the middle of his college soccer career he decided to remove himself from the university to pursue his musical career. From the scholarship athlete to entertainer, he has been on a mission to bring back "feel good" music.
